The Messiah's Concerned Forerunner

Matthew: Promised Messiah

Throughout his gospel Matthew takes time to emphasize who Jesus is. He does this with the goal to call the Jews to receive Jesus as their Messiah. The same call is sent to us today who read Matthew's gospel as we see from the first half of Matthew 11 as we are confronted with Jesus's identity as the Messiah of God.

Scripture references: Matthew 11:2-19
